The laboratory for chronic viral hepatitis is situated in the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Erasmus University Medical Center. The Rotterdam Liver Unit is an internationally recognized expertise center in the field of treatment of viral hepatitis patients and in translational research. The Liver Unit has a Clinical Research Bureau with extensive experience with multi-centre European studies. The Clinical Research Bureau allows the possibility to conduct translational studies using patient cohorts.
